I don't usually post in English on this blog, but this topic would make very little sense in Swedish. I have recently discovered that the University of Dalarna (Högskolan i Dalarna) offers an online course about Scandinavian working-class literature in English. The course literature includes works by Martin Andersen Nexø, Johan Falkberget, Dan Andersson, and Moa and Harry Martinson, as well as my latest book, Literature and Class.
Scandinavian working-class literature is in many ways a unique phenomenon, and deserves more attention from scholars of literature all over the world. This course makes it possible for those who not (yet) master the Scandinavian languages to get acquainted with it.
